The Federal Prosecutor’s Office of the Central District of California recently that two Chinese defendants were sentenced to federal imprisonment for leading the Trans-Pacific Apple fraud group. The Prosecutor’s Office said the group had caused about $1,624 million in losses. The main verdict was that Wenhui Huang, 41, was from Chino Hills, California, who was the leader of the group, was sentenced to 78 months in federal prison and was ordered to pay $16,239,254 for counterfeit electronic products through the Trans-Pacific supply chain. Huang had admitted in May 2025 to a conspiracy for telecommunications fraud and mail fraud, a conspiracy for trafficking counterfeit goods and a crime involving money transactions.
