On 13 August, China's human rights lawyer Gao Zhisheng was missing for nine years. After his disappearance from his home in 2017, his whereabouts and health were never publicly confirmed. Five sets of public and real images documented the long process of his practice as a lawyer, of being pressured, and of his continued pursuit of his whereabouts by family members and international organizations.
